My approach to Weddings

Natural, relaxed wedding photography in Hampshire

Hello, I’m Jenny and  I like vintage and quirky things, something with a bit of wear and tear, a bit of history.  So, although I do take photos with a digital camera, my preference is definitely to use my old beat-up all-mechanical film cameras made in the 1950’s (if you take a look at my About page, the old camera in that photo actually still works)!

As you look at my portfolio, you’ll also see that I love to capture warmth and real emotions. I’ll enjoy taking the photos of the little details that you spent so much time and effort planning and creating, but to me the most important thing is to capture the connections that the happy couple make with each other, and with their friends and family on that special day. I work mostly in an unobtrusive manner, capturing moments that could easily be missed, but I will whisk the bride and groom (or bride&bride/ groom&groom) away for a short time for some natural relaxed portraits during the day.

If authentic film images is important to you then let me know as I love  shooting with a film camera and a digital camera on a wedding day.  I love the softness and natural grain that film photography brings to portraits and I love the way it makes me slow down and be more considered in my approach to you.  Don’t worry about feeling self-conscious as my approach is totally relaxed and I will give you very gentle direction should you need some tips on posing if you need it.  I use my digital for those fun, action packed, reportage parts of the day so you’ll get a real mixture of beautiful fine art portraits and fun and relaxed documentary images.
