Caravanilla: Featured wedding supplier in Hampshire & West Sussex

Day 2 of my featured wedding supplier series this week is on the lovely Charlie from Caravanilla!

Charlie says:

Caravanilla is an ice cream van with a twist, bring that vintage feel to your event in a unique early 60s caravan, Olive.  Painted on the outside to match that of a neapolitan scoop & the inside to bring back memories of your Grandma’s front room, we proudly scooping up British ice cream where everything is made from the finest and natural ingredients, no added colours/flavourings, natural or artificial, no preservatives, no GMOs, no nuts, no eggs, gluten free, halal accredited & of course very tasty!

I started Caravanilla because who doesn’t love ice cream? Being able to take part in peoples events is something that is a brilliant experience & a pleasure.  I love the fact that Olive is different from the norm, eye catching & very beautiful (I am slightly bias obviously) people of all ages pop their heads in to say hello & to have a nose, with some people having memories flying back in from childhood & family holidays, how people got a family of 7 in to such a small space is a wonder to me.

Scooping up at event around, Sussex, Hampshire & Surrey, but happy to any other requests that may be slightly further away.

What do you love about your business?

I love it when people have a taste of the ice cream, you can see their eyes light up, a smile comes across their faces & mmmmmm noises are made.  This is something everyone does, from 9 month old babies to a 90 year old gentleman.  It such a pleasure to be part of someone’s enjoyment & memory making.
What’s the most popular item/trend you’re seeing for weddings in 2015?

LOVE!! & people bringing in something person to the day, they are going outside of the traditional expectation to the big white wedding – personally I love the seed packets as thank yous on the table.

If you were to get married again or if you were to get married in 2015/16, what would your wedding be like?

Don’t want to jinx it – otherwise he may never ask me 🙂

What’s your own favourite item/service that you provide yourself?

I am partial to a scoop of strawberry & champagne when feeling luxurious & a big ol scoop if cider sorbet on a nice sunny day.

What’s your favourite wedding top tip?

The day is for you & your groom, or you & your bride, do it how you would like to do it! Don’t worry that your 2nd aunt removed isn’t a fan of chocolate cake but that is what you want – you have it!!
