A little bit about my business…

I have always been involved in event planning from arranging surprise birthday parties for friends and family, to various work placements. It was after helping out on a wedding at a hotel in Somerset during one of these work placements, that I realised I loved the whole experience and that event planning was what I wanted to do. I am a very organised individual with an interest in design, being creative and working with people from all walks of life. I knew starting a wedding planning business would allow me to use these skills on a daily basis. I decided to undertake a Diploma in Wedding Planning from the Blackford Centre for Professional Wedding Planners, which I achieved with a Merit, and this gave me the confidence to start Naomi Sautter Weddings & Events.

We cover the South of England including Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Dorset and Oxfordshire and are always willing to work abroad if required! We offer a wide range of services to help clients plan their wedding or event; From Full Wedding Planning where we work with couples throughout the entire process, to Wedding Day Management where we assist on the day itself. We are able to provide planning, design, coordination and management of any event, including birthdays, christenings, corporate events, surprise parties and many more.

What do you love about your business?

I love how happy my team and I make our clients. My favourite part of being a wedding planner is attending on the actual day itself, it is very rewarding when you have worked hard to make sure every last detail is how your clients imagined and you can see how happy they are with the results.

What’s your favourite wedding top tip?

My favourite wedding top tip is to start the planning process early. Work with your wedding planner well in advance of your wedding to ensure you can secure the vendors you would really like, as popular suppliers and venues get booked up very quickly. Secondly, ensure you book your planner for assistance on the day itself. This will allow you to spend the morning relaxing and enjoying being pampered, rather than worrying if the flowers are in place, or the suppliers have arrived and are setting up.

What is the most popular trend you’re seeing for weddings in 2015?

The most popular trend I am seeing for weddings in 2015 is DIY weddings. These weddings allow the creative and artistic bride to hand create elements of their wedding. We have taken bookings for summer 2015 DIY weddings for marquees, barns and watermills with fairy lights, handmade invitations and home baked informal afternoon teas. These weddings are full of crafty and quirky elements that give the perfect opportunity for the bride and groom to put their personality into their wedding with the help of a wedding planner to bring their vision to life.
